Reading for the week of May 18th

Death is not a scary card! It is a reminder to let things go that no longer serve us. It is a reminder that all things come to an end and that we must greet those endings with humility and peace. This is a card of transition, the moment of change when leaves fall and return their nutrients to the soil to feed more life.

Think about things you have been holding onto, what is no longer useful or needed. Let it go. In fact go press play on Frozen right now and sing it out, LET IT GO! If you can't stand Elsa, put on a different song (might I suggest Florence + the Machine) and release through dance.

If this card scares you, sit with that fear. What are you actually afraid of, is it inevitable change? Is it unknown? Are you holding onto something that is holding you back from becoming your best self? Release it.

The classic metaphor "one door closes another opens" is very apt for Death in the tarot. Follow the transformation coming this week and allow for the endless possibilities.

This deck is new to my practice but I thought it would be a nice tie in with the craft I'm posting on my social channels. The fiber tools throughout the deck are really beautiful woven into the overall structure of the tarot.

Remember to release this week!

See you next week!

Brent
